Fire-Roasted Sausage and Peppers

Makes 4 Servings


  • 4 Bratwursts, 6 oz each
  • 2 peppers, cut into strips, with seeds removed
  • 1 bottle Angry Orchard Crisp Apple
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 large pieces of heavy-duty foil


  1. Place one bratwurst in center of each piece of foil
  2. Cover each with ½ pepper and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  3. Fold up edges, and pour about 3 ounces (1/4 bottle) Angry Orchard Apple Cider over sausage and peppers.

  4. Fold over and seal to create a packet.

  5. Place directly in smoldering embers of a campfire, or close to the edge of a roaring one.

  6. Cook until packets begin to hiss and bubble; remove and set aside until cool enough to touch.

  7. Open and enjoy!
